Find a Cohouse confirms that all technical, legal and organizational means and purposes are put forward for accurate processing of users' personal data and this in accordance with the Law of July 30, 2018 - on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data - hereinafter the Law and the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016 - on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC - hereinafter the Regulation.

By user we refer to any user, whether a natural or legal person who visits the Website or interacts with the Site in any way.

Find a Cohouse is free to choose a natural or legal person to process users' personal data at its request and on its behalf. Where appropriate, Find a Cohouse undertakes to select a Processor that provides sufficient guarantees regarding the technical and organizational measures for the processing of personal data, in accordance with the Law and the Regulation.

Processing of personal data

The user agrees that during the visit and use of the Website, Find a Cohouse collects and processes the following personal data:

At login: first name, last name and email address
When entering an offer: address and data needed to create an offer
When communicating with other users: data about the user's communications (e.g., correspondence history) and other data the user wishes to provide

The Controller shall retain personal data only for as long as is reasonably necessary to achieve the purposes for which they are processed.

Right of access to the personal data held by Find a Cohouse.
Right to rectify, update, complete incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete personal data. For this, the User first makes the necessary changes himself from his user account. If these cannot be made independently, the request can be directed to Find a Cohouse.
Right to deletion, erasure: The User has the right to obtain the deletion of his data as soon as possible in the cases mentioned in Article 17 of the Regulation.
Right to limit the processing of personal data in the cases mentioned in article 18 of the Regulation
Right of transferability of personal data.

For the rights described in points b, c and d above, the controller shall notify any recipient to whom the personal data have been disclosed of any rectification, deletion or restriction, unless such disclosure proves impossible or involves a disproportionate effort. The controller shall provide the data subject with information about these recipients if requested by the data subject.

Requested data will always be provided in electronic form and for general use, unless otherwise requested by the User. And will be communicated no later than one month after receipt of the request. The Controller may charge a reasonable fee based on the administrative costs for the information requested by the User.

Screening the content of messages from the User

Find a Cohouse reserves the right to screen or analyze User messages for purposes of fraud prevention, risk assessment, promoting security, regulatory compliance, research, product development and customer support. However, this will never be done to sell or use data to personalize third-party marketing.

Applicable law and competent court

This privacy policy is governed exclusively by Belgian law. Any dispute shall be submitted to the courts of the judicial district of the corporate headquarters of Find a Cohouse.
