There are 4 floors, of which one is entirely yours. It consists of a small room (12m2) and a bigger room (20m2) as well as a balcony (6m2).
As it is the top floor you will have a lot of privacy up there. Its quite and the balcony has a great view of borgerhout backyards.
These spaces will be unfurnished. The house is a no-pets zone.
Common parts
The house is situated in a short dead-end street off Moorkesplein. All together the house is around 160m2, over 4 floors. We have two balconies, some communal storage space and a dry and clean basement that is equipped with a DIY workshop and more storage space.
The kitchen, bathroom and living room are shared with my current housemate - Luis, 34, Architect, speaks English and Portuguese - who will take my room and leave his floor for the new housemate.
The kitchen is very well equipped with a gas stove, oven, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, and plenty of convenient storage space. (mostly SMEG appliances)
The hallway downstairs has a bicycle rack that can hang up to 5 bikes.
The furniture in the house is optional - you can keep things that are there, or bring your own.
I will keep one room in the house - my office where I will occasionally come work and or sleep. I am in the process of moving to the south of the country.

Luis (34) is a music loving architect from Portugal. He works from home quite a bit. His partner - Joke - is around the house regularly as well. Luis is the perfect housemate - I am going to miss him! We had a very nice balance between privacy and companionship. He's a great cook!
Seppe (41 y) I bought the house 4 years ago and have loved to live and work in it. Life is bringing me to the south of the country where my partner and I are starting a family in a collective housing project. I work as a cinematographer on TV and film projects. I have a small office on the 1st floor which I intend to keep for a little bit longer.
These things we like to do togther
There is always a very calm and homely vibe. Both Luis and myself are rather nesting creatures. There is often music - we have a WiFi based sound system in the kitchen and bathroom that allow for your music to follow you around. A lot of cooking and food sharing.
Our street is a very social and lively street with a few get togethers a year and an active whatsapp group where you can always turn to for all sorts of help or tips.

The house is in a very quite street - no passing traffic, only people hunting for parking - a 10 minute walk away from Antwerp Central Station. There is a lot of liveliness on the Moorkesplein (Mombassa, Bar Luca, GlouGlou) and the very lively Dageraarplaats is only a 5 min walk away. Also the concert hall The Roma is around the corner - on the ever-alive Turnhoutsebaan where you find all the businesses you could need.
There is a small carrefour supermarket around the corner that keeps quite flexible hours (Sundays and after-work-hours) a large Delhaize on the Plantijn en Moretuslei is also handy for bigger groceries. We do a lot of our shopping at the many local vegetable and fruit shops in the neighborhood.
Access
The turnhoutsebaan offers all the public transport to travel in or out of the city. The central station is nearby. Berchem is also not that far. We also have a Velo station on the moorkesplein.
